After attending Colgate University and earning an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, Ralph Daruns has enjoyed a career as one of the top commercial mortgage bankers in the United States spanning more than three decades. His career in the real estate industry began in 1978 as Assistant Vice President with EF Hutton in New York where he worked on various housing revenue bond deals. Mr. Daruns worked for affordable housing developers and syndicators in Boston MA and joined Washington Mortgage Group at the beginning of the 1990′s, thereby entering the mortgage banking business. He eventually joined Arbor Commercial Mortgage as its first mortgage originator after Arbor received its Fannie Mae DUS license and went on to be one of its top producers. He specialized in affordable housing, revenue bonds and LIHTC transactions. He has spoken at numerous conferences and written many articles on multifamily housing issues. He currently is the senior correspondent for Rockhall Funding Corp where he has originated more than $300 million in FHA multifamily mortgage loans in the last three years. He is married with three grown children and resides in Dallas, Texas.
In order to best serve his clients with the widest range of commercial multifamily mortgage products, Mr. Daruns formed Darach Realty Advisors in 2007 where he serves as Managing Principal.

Prior to joining Darach Advisors as a Managing Director in the Fall of 2011, Scott Schaefer was a home builder and real estate developer from 1984 until 2009. Making a significant change to exploit newly discovered skill sets, he became Director Small Business Websites and SEO Services from 2009 through the present at Lexington Development, a Darach Advisors Strategic Partner.

Kathryn G. Thompson
Senior Managing Director
As a real estate developer in California, Ms. Thompson built over 25,000 homes as well as commercial and retail projects. She is an award winning developer, the Developer of the Year for the Pacific Coast Builders Association, and a formal Member of the Board of Directors of Fannie Mae. She created, managed, and sold over $800 million of debt for the construction of military multifamily housing. She has won numerous awards form the US Navy and the US Army for her developments. She is an experienced author of financing and investment proposals in response to RFPs of federal, state, and local governments and agencies. She speaks at housing conventions throughout the year on subjects of construction, FHA financing, and affordable housing. She graduated from Southern Methodist University – a proud mustang.
