Victor Lee Joins Darach Advisors West Coast Office
Victor N. Lee, a successful investment banker for 30 years, has joined Darach Property Advisors as General Manager of the firm’s West Coast Office in Los Angeles.
After he earned an MBA from Stanford, Mr. Lee began his banking career with EF Hutton in Los Angeles followed by Drexel Burnham Lambert and Paine Webber. He was the banker for housing revenue bonds, municipal bonds, and county credit facilities throughout California. He has been financial advisor to Marin, Orange, Santa Clara, and Santa Barbara Counties He has been responsible for over $2 billion in funding for his clients.
As a principal he managed the leverage buyout of the publicly traded hotel company, Servico, Inc., which operated 70 hotels in fifteen states. Following the buyout Servico developed a downtown Los Angeles hotel/convention center in joint venture with the Obayashi Corp.
For the past several years he has concentrated on bringing foreign investors, notably European hedge funds, into the US real estate investment market. He expects to play a key role in the growth of investment and consultant services offered by Darach Property Investors.
Mr. Lee continues as Managing Director of Newmark Advisors, concentrating on early-development stage companies in the areas of strategic and financial structuring.
